When playing music, and opening the camera app, or any app that would create a sound (like a new message incoming), the music player stops. Is this normal?

Its really annoying when listening to music on headphones, and the music stops/pauses for any sound that might occur. It completely stops if you open the camera app and does not start again until you close the camera app.

I use GoneMadd Media Player. Mine doesn't stop playing. I just tried it. Maybe you need an alternate media player.

Thats really odd. I use Google Play. and the stock camera app. If I am listening to music, and turn the camera on, it pauses until camera is closed. Or if I get an email or text message, music will pause to play the notification, then resume after.

I use the standard "Music" app that my S5 came with and have the same problem. Can't find anything in the settings to fix it. Do I have to download a new app? I wish I could pick which notifications are allowed to interrupt my music play..

Switch your sound profile to vibrate or silent. Problem solved.

Does anyone know of any apps where you can choose which notification are able to interrupt your music play?

I'm guessing it's the HiFi DAC programming that can't process sounds from 2 different sources, since the Notifications are allowed to come through if you were speaking on the phone (in almost any phone, not just the V10), then it's going to be the dominant sound source and take over the HiFi DAC as the dominant source and won't let go till it gets pushed back to a new (original) source.

This is something I hope they address in an update! !

( lololol ... aahhhh, I crack myself up sometimes ... they'll never get to this in the next update. )
