Music turns up very loud before a text is read

[Android Central Question]

I have a Kenwood DMX706S and I hook up my phone via USB and use Android Auto.

When I receive a text the exact following happens:

- The notification appears on the screen
- I tap on the notification
- The volume of the music increases drastically for one second and then drops back to the level I was listening at
- The text then gets read out loud
- I then reply, but before the text send the music turns up drastically loud again and then returns back to normal listening volume

I can not for the life of me figure out the setting or issue I am facing

What device do you have?

What app are you using? Does this happen with other apps? Have you tried another app?

Have you tried turning the device volume to max and using the car stereo to control the volume? With the phone volume already maxed out it cannot increase more than it already is, in turn using the stereo to control the volume limits how loud it will go. If the device volume is at 30% and you have to turn the car volume up to 70% to listen comfortably if device volume spikes for a moment as it prepares to read the text 70% stereo volume may seem like a lot. Verses the device volume already being at 100 and the stereo at 30% where there is no spike for the device and the stereo is already pretty low even if there is a slight increase.
