I have a simple question about the music app on the eris. After I'm done using it, how do I get the controls off of the lock screen?

Had same thing still dont know how to get remove it with out unlocking it. is it even possible to remove it with out unlocking?

you just have to puase or stop the player and the controls will be removed from the lock screen, when you lock it again.
