Thought we could start a weekly app suggestions thread, and each week someone posts an app that is a must have for their phone and basically give a run down of what it does, so today I will start, and this is a big one that I've just recently discovered

Take a look at the above screen shot, notice something awkward? What is that orange arrow you may ask? Well this is my big app of the week, smart task bar

It's basically a task bar / app drawers that is available everywhere and doesn't require root

This app is active during any app and allows you to quickly switch between apps and with a new app I downloaded earlier found in the app store called Recent Apps (search for recent apps button in the play store and look down the Page for a blue icon)

This app allows you to have the ics task manager as an app so you can make it a short cut and what not

Anyways, that is the only way to remove recent apps while using smart task bar without having to pay for the pro version

What's the best part of this app? It works in widget locker, your home screens and in any app and you can place the icon on any part of your screen and even make it transparent

Ladies and gentlemen, i've downloaded a ton of apps this weekend and this by far has been my app of the week, check it out and tell me what you think

Oh yea, i forgot to tell you, barely any battery usage uploadfromtaptalk1348432663820.jpg

Because unlike ios, i keep my apps in app drawers, and not in infinite cluttered homescreens

P. S the recent apps can be launched from your notification

Aka, fewer button presses :) uploadfromtaptalk1348432848000.jpg

nice one man. can you choose which apps it contains instead of them all.
i used to use an app called smart task bar but it was activated by a thumb swipe from edge of screen, is this the same app just updated to use notification bar instead of swiping?

global s3, UK. Ask me anything and ill reply even if its just an intelligent (or stupid) guess ;)

Yea, its the same app but I selected the button instead of the swipe

You can change that top row of icons, they are like your quick launch icons,as for the app draw, there is a show/hide button for it

I've been heavily using the app for a while now and have only used 2.4% of the battery with it

I had this. Hated it. Could never get it work effectively. The feature thing is stupid in my opinion. Plus my case used to get in the way trying to slide from an edge. I'll have to check it out again

Hm, well maybe give it another try, im sure the version u had isn't as updated as this one is

But honestly, this app isn't a necessary to everyone its like a luxury app

But for me, someone who tries to make everything easily accessible so I can multi task easier, it's a huge need, the ability to switch apps while in other apps without having to press that wretched home button is beast

Yeah. Probably. I feel you bro. Going to give this app another go

Awesome, hope you like it. And try using the button instead of the slide feature, because I'm not sure it will work properly while on ur homescreen if u have to swipe

it did work on my last phone mate as you have to have thumb like on the bezel then slide.
does it have any new themes? there were only two when i used it.
i found myself never using homescreen and ive got it so pretty so itd be a shame not to use it. i mostly only used the app for recent apps anyway :)
