MXQ Pro TV Box

I have bought an MXQ Pro TV Box with 5 gig of ram, I want to increase it with an SD card and set it up to be part of the ram. I have watched Youtube on how it is done on Android 6 by pulling down the setup menu from the top of the screen. I have Android 7.1.2 which for some reason doesn't work on my box. I can only download 2 movies from Showbox and the ram is full. Can someone please help with this if it is possible.
