My 2.2 Problems: Pandora, texting, check for updates, etc.

So, after updating to 2.2 I've been getting a lot of bugs/problems. Here's my list:

-Problems running Pandora app: consistently comes up with notification saying that there was an unexpected error. I have to shut the player down and wait a good hour or so before trying to run it again. Rebooting doesn't help either.

-New texts not coming to top: This is pretty common from what I've seen. Hopefully they will change this since it's really annoying to hunt for new texts in my message list.

-Check for system updates not working: Tried to check for updates multiple times since upgrading and every time I get a message saying that it isn't available at this time.

-Camcorder closes when I press record: Happened multiple times last night. Worked OK after a reboot, hopefully just a random glitch.

-Contact picture size: More of a complaint, but I have my contacts linked to their FB pages. With 2.1 the pic would take up the entire gray picture square. With 2.2 the pictures seem to only partially fill up the square and are a lot harder to see. I have no clue why they would change this, it doesn't look better at all.

There's probably a few other things that I'm forgetting, but I just wanted to add to the discussion of 2.2 and see if anyone has any fixes for these problems.

The camcorder one won't go away. You can dupliate the problem by taking about four pictures and deleting them as you take them. it will close the camera and not allow you to take pictures unless you shut off and turn on the phone

I've had the camera problem as well. My new texts appear in the correct order, newest on top. Never had that problem.

Really? My texts are in order of outgoing texts (if that makes sense). So the conversation with the most recent sent text is at the top and the convo with the second most recent sent text is 2nd, etc.

This happened in the leaked 2.2, but not frequent enough to notice much. The OTA 2.2 it has gotten a lot worse. From what I can tell some part of 2.2 that handles audio is crashing. It isn't Pandora's fault that it can't send audio off to android to be decoded and played.
What's even stranger is that ogg still plays fine when this happens.

I'm getting a new replacement X on Monday, there are enough on these forums claiming they are not having any issues. Since the software is the same it must be the hardware. This sort of reminds me of the xbox 360 problems, how not all hardware failures were the same. It was rushed out way too early with very bad QA, and I fear the same may be the case with the X. Will see how things go next week, hopefully there are way fewer buggy phones and I will luck out and get a good one.

I have gotten the pandora error since updating also. As was said, nothing fixes it but time.

Well, after reading many threads, I've decided to do a factory reset. I will let you guys know how it goes!

So, I think I've figured out a possibility as to why my phone is having problems. I updated to 2.2 without unrooting my phone first. Apparently the only way to unroot my phone now is to root 2.2 and then unroot 2.2.

I want to start with a clean slate so I'm in the process of doing this before I do a factory reset, but so far there is no way to unroot 2.2. So for now, I wait..
