Hi people

I've been recording some video blogs recently, and slowly realised you tube was.predicitng.long long long load up times

When I compared the size of my recent video's to my older attempts

I found that whereas a video of 30 odd minutes used to come in at about 698 MB
NOW a video of similar length is 2.66 GB!

Please help me with two things-

1- where in my settings have I set my camera to record such massive files? (and how?)

2- is there any way i can convert these files back down into something smaller?
thank you

.
.............

You must have changed your default video resolution to the max (1080P) available. Go to video settings and try a lower resolution.

I just thought- i normally copy my vids (MP-4) to my PC hardrive and used to delete the original

Thinking I was saving time I CUT and pasted these Vids - which i don't normally do

Thinking that somehow this might be the problem I tried to re-instate one of GIANT vids on my phone,
making sure there was enough room-
and the PC asked me if iwanted to convert the file into somehting that would play on my phone

So SOMEHOW - I've managed to Scoop up a video file that i either recorded in some other MASSIVE format-
and drop it onto my PC

Or somehow - the Nature of my video file has been alterred in the journey from phone to
my PC

any thoughts gratefully recieved

Dear newbie

I can;t find a resolution setting in my phone only a video sie one- is that what you're referring to?

it's now 1920 by 1080 but i just hit reset settings to see if that cleared yp my problem
