My Apps Keep Opening. Why?

Non of the smartasses can really answer the question, but still are showing how important they are... Pathetic.

I agree - the question is simple enough
I too hate apps opening just because I have touched or moved the phone.

Why peeps have got to rave about everything else I just don't know

In any event, it would be great if someone who actually knew the answer to the question was to respond

Thanks

Alright, for those interested in learning more about how your Android reallyworks, listen up! For those who think they know everything, and just wanna troll around, have fun.

Your Android phone, as I hope you know, is essentially a pocket sized PC. If you know ANYTHING about PC's, then everything I am about to say will be logical to you. The only REAL difference, without being technical, is that you have more control over your PC. The reason being, is that a PC comes with more quality hardware allowing it to perform with a more elaborate OS. When you close a program on your PC, the program is essential stopped; however, certain processes may continue to run in the background, without draining the amount of RAM it would if the program had been open.

Android's are similar, but like I said, less elaborate in programing. If you terminate an App on you phone but a process still needs to run in the backround (usually because it's still being used by the system or another App), it will appear to close but immediately reopen. The biggest nuisance with these less elaborate OS's, is that an App cannot run necessary backround processes without it essentially being open/running.

Remember, I said earlier Apps also use other Apps, or the system uses Apps without you doing anything also due to certain settings you may use. A good example of this is using auto-signing in. If you have all your social networking Apps affiliated to your phone, with your passwords saved and auto-sign in, your phone will automatically reopen them. Such as my Galaxy S3 (I know, I'm out dated, lol!), I expect g-mail, facebook, Skype, and programs like that to stay open. I can terminate them over and over, but as long as my passwords are saved on my phone and have a net connection, they will run regardless. There is the matter of synching as well. If you allow your Apps to sync with each other as well as your device, then you must expect one to affect them all. Auto-backup of your system and files to your cloud-type accounts, will constantly reopen those as well. One last example for Apps requiring net connection, is location. If you allow your device and Apps to know ur location using GPS, all Apps that have the option or demand location settings on, will stay also.

Now, there's also the matter of needless junk, live wallpapers, number device's home screen pages, widgets, excessive call/sms logs, and most importantly your caches. First, if you love to store a lot of ''novelty'' Apps that you don't really need, either uninstall them or disable them while you're not using them. Clear call/sms logs weekly, if not monthly. (Depending on how frequently you fill them.) Avoid live wallpapers or widgets with on screen animations for optimal performance. Try not too keep too much music/photos/videos on your phone if you don't need them. (even if they're stored on your devices SD card.) And it is absolutely necessary to delete the caches of every App individually once a month.

Most people do not realise, even though you are taking up physical memory, the more you do, the more RAM your phone will take to compensate for the additional work it needs to do to sort through all the junk as it's trying to perform the task you want. It will take longer to load, and perform slower because it's overburdened with a ton of needless files gathering dust.

I will conclude with a few last pointers. The only way to truly have control of an Android other than going through ALL your system/accounts/networking/App settings, is to root your device. I do no recommend doing so to anyone without the experience and knowledge to properly do so, while still being able to protect it with decent anti-virus software. I warn you! Doing so without knowing exactly what you are doing can result in your phone being absolutely useless. Use the O.S. you have, let it perform as it should, but take the time to also care for it as you should.

REMEMBER to always use the APPROPRIATE charger/USB cable that comes with your phone. This will prolong battery life extremely, and prevent battery swelling as well as damage to the contact points between it and the phone. Failure to do so could cause the battery to inflate until it pushes against the back plate onto you display, ruining it completely. And is rare cases, it can cause leaks and fire.

Note: App Killers are useless unless your phone is rooted. Apps will reopen immediately and you're just wasting your time.

I have this issue as well. The Advanced Task Killer shows programs running that have no business running, like MomentCam, My Scans, a game called Wave... random apps I haven't used recently.

Why do these Apps start themselves? How can I prevent them from starting?
