Android Central Question

I have lived in Henderson, NV for over 30 years. Yet, for the last decade or so, I repeatedly receive ads or my online preferences are geared toward an Albequerque, NM resident. So much so that I now know how to spell the city's name. This "pops up" when I am on Youtube, Facebook, Google (and all its subsidiaries), Yahoo, et.al. I have never physically been in New Mexico, or near any of its borders. I'm sure it is a fine state, but it is just a big annoyance to me now. This is definitely having a detrimental effect on my future tourism prospects for poor, irksome Albequerque. How can I never see this city again??

Do you use a VPN? Also double check the zip code, sometimes I put in my zip code and a list of cities in another state pops up.

Welcome to Android Central! Also, do you customarily use your own wi-fi network that you set up, or is it a shared wi-fi network (like in an apartment or condo building)?

Have you also tried clearing your browser history and cookies "from the beginning of time"?

Thanks, Mustang7577. That link did nothing but take me to androidcentral's newsletter(?) page. I ended up creating an account, and, due to my technological handicap, I only needed 1.25hrs to do it! Gosh, I dislike all these friggin advancements!

I have internet on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ android phone. I do not use a shared network or anything. I did, at one time have internet for everyone in the house through a router/modem.
I have deleted everything in my browser and search histories. Also, the caches and cookies bi-weekly basis.

In your Settings>Privacy>Ads menu, try resetting your advertising ID (or opt out of ads personalization altogether if you don't care one way or the other).

Is this on wifi or mobile network? My home ISP has my location set for over 100 miles from where I live and I get served ads, etc... from that location rather than my home area. However, when I am on the mobile network I get a correct location.

Yeah. I keep getting notifications that someone has logged into my Netflix account from Surrey. That is over 200 miles from where I live. That is ISP related.
