My At&T LG G4 refuses to update marshmallow (Android 6)

Got an AT&T unlocked phone from a friend in the U.S. Phone works fine but is on Android 5.1. I want to upgrade to Android 6. I tried software update from settings-about phone-update center. Update fails at 1% with error: software update unavailable... err:0x112500. I tried updating using FOTA via adb: same error. I tried updating using LGUP: same error. Please can anyone help out on how to update this phone!!!

I'm on build LMY47D, software version: H81010o

Would really appreciate any assistance.

The update comes from AT&T - only to phones registered with them. (AT&T is funny that way.)

Try the XDA Forums forum for the AT&T version of your phone to see if anyone has posted the update file for the 5.1.1 to 6 update. (There will be instructions if anyone has.)

Thank you for the advise but I got the OTA file I was trying to update via adb and LGUP from an xda forum where user claimed it would upload without an ATT sim in both cases it gets to 1% then I get the error software update unavailable. Please contact LG customer service... err:0x112500

People, any suggestions, fixes? please?
