My audio jack won't recognise any headphones or earphones

[Android Central Question]

I've had my huawei p30 for a few months now and it's worked perfectly but suddenly this morning the audio port stopped recognising any earphones I put into it and kept playing through the speakers.
I've cleaned out the port and restarted my phone multiple times but still nothing. Any suggestions?
