My bar status won't slide down properly

[Android Central Question]

So I have a Samsung 8+ and have had it for about 8 months. 4 days ago it wouldn't swipe down, my sister did something and it worked up until now, it slides down but you have to tap hard and slide hard a couple times to even get it down.
