My camera on my Droid Turbo is not working right, how can I fix it?

my camera on my droid turbo is not working right

i can get the camera to come on for a short time {10 sec, or less] when the phone has been not use for a couple of hours.
when it does come on its ok for a couple sec.then starts flickering and it gets red lines in the display then goes out and a message saying to restart camera and it will not restart when you try.
