I recently noticed that my capacitive lights were not on when I was in the dark. I mean my light leakage problem has been solved, but now I'm using the "force" when using the phone in the dark. Anyone else have this issue?

Time to get a replacement.

Damn, I was hoping that it was setting or software issue!! This is my original T-Bolt too. :'(

Have you by any chance used the HTC dock recently? If so, did you try to quickly get out of the dock clock? I've lost my capacitive button lights too after putting it in the dock and then trying to get out of the dock clock. Go to the clock app, activate the clock, and then get out of it, and your lights should come back. Unless the dock thing doesn't apply to you...then my theory is shot.

No, haven't used the dock, but I use the desk clock app on the phone at night for my alarm clock!

if a Shut down and reboot does not fix it. factory reset. if nothing then its def a hardware issue and you should get a new/referb one under the manufacturers warranty. good luck.

Mine did that too. I put a piece.of electrical tape over the light sensor and now they're always on when screen is active which is fine with me. The light sensor is under the v symbol to the left of the word Verizon on the top of the screen.

I wish they were lit as brightly as my Droid 1.

Definitely desktop dock and/or clock app related. I recently got the desktop dock and also noticed the capacitive button lights stopped working after removing from the dock. While undocked I opened the clock app, put it in nighttime desk clock mode (moon/star button), tapped the screen to exit that mode, and the lights came back on. :) Hope that helps.
