My contacts are lost!!!help me fast!

Hello

I have a Sony Xperia Miro and had to hard reset my phone,because i had some problems.I synced my account to Google and Gmail and did the reset.Then i sign in my account,but no contacts or messages etc were imported.I'm really worried,because i had a lot of contacts.
PLEASE PEOPLE HELP ME FAST!!!

First try and log in via desktop to your Gmail account and see what/if any of your contacts were sync'd.

Second, if there isn't anything on your Gmail via desktop then sad to say but you probably have lost them.

I logged in gmail and there is nothing there.Still can't believe i lost them.Why is that happening,after i synced my profile?

It's possible you were saving your contacts to the Phone Account instead of your Google Account. Some devices have a separate Phone Account (which I think saves contacts to the SIM card), which does not sync with your Google account. If the contacts were saved to the Phone Account and you did a factory reset, then they get wiped. This is one of the main reasons I recommend that people never use the Phone Account for anything.
