After a long process of checking the forums and reading on the numerous ways to add a car dock/mount for the asus tf101, i took it upon myself to revert back to custom install days. What i did was purchase a Car Kit Swivel Air Vent with Super Strong Slim Holder for Asus Eee Transformer TF101 from ultimate-mobiles.co.uk. I didn't want to mount the vent adapter so i cut holes on the side of the dash and placed the tablet hold portion into the dash. What i used was a filing kit, a hand saw, a razor, a screwdriver, and some cotter pins. about 4 hours i had a finished product. Its not perfect but im sure you can tell from the photos.

I can slide the tablet in and out securely with no problem. the left side i had to cut the tab off next to the volume button. This wasn't the best dock cause it was made for the vertical position. I should have order this dock, Strong Windscreen Suction Mount Holder for Asus Eee Transformer TF101, which was made for the horizontal position. But in the end it still worked out like i wanted it to. Oh and by the way the dash pieces i used where extras, i went to a junk yard and found another mustang and took those piece for $5. I left the factory radio installed due to the use of the Aux jack. I haven't attempted to find a way to use the Aux jack without the factory radio installed, that will be my next task. The whole reason i choose to do this is cause my antenna broke off and i will have to drill the screw piece out. So i just decided to use my tablet as my radio using tunein and poweramp as my mp3 player. i use my phone as a hotspot to get internet connection. But anyway here,s the photos.

Wow. Very gutsy move. I wish I had these skills. If I tried to do this I would end up butchering my car the the point of no return.

Would you be able to retro fit it with an upgraded tablet in the future?
