My daughter's phone will not turn on.

When plugged in, it shows the battery life at 100%, but does not come on. What could be the problem with this?

Press and hold Power for a minute or so. If no go, remove and replace the battery, or do a simulated battery pull: press and hold Power and Volume Down together for half a minute or so.
