my downloaded media are not shown in gallery

The past 3-4 months i have an issue with my downloaded media.

Specifically if i save a photo from browser or chat (facebook messenger, whatsapp, viber, line etc) i can not see it from my Gallery app.
If i try to move the photos from "my files" to a certain folder that is already viewable in gallery then the problem is solved.
So what os the real reason i can view my downloaded videos or photos right away??
And what is the permanent solution of it??

Seems like you have some problems with your media folders.
I had the same problem.
I tried EVERYTHING, mounting folders, syncing the folders that where not being recognized to a new folder under the DCIM folder (worked)
but then I started thinking it was a problem with the gallery software (wich also affects the Photos app) because the mentioned "hidden" folders where available on a good viewer (I use Quickpic) So, I found this app, it scans your whole phone and adds the missing folders to the gallery and so, the Photos app.
Look for "SdFixTool" in the play store. Scan your whole phone (take a while)
Ran it and it even saw my whatsapp sent images! Great!
