My Epic Symptoms, is it defective?

I have had the epic since launch of which the first ten days I was in a religious retreat so I didn't have real world usage out of it. My screen squeaks when I press my thumb down anywhere on it.

My battery takes like 5-6 hours to fully charge

My battery drains ridiculous fast like in two hours it went down more than 25% when all I did was send 6 pics, 25 text and 2 calls under 5 mins each

I have read some people who are getting like amazing battery life and I wonder if its related to having a phone that charges faster than mine does?

Also once the phone is charged and says unplug it, if I don't does that mess up my battery or the battery life?

I want to switch my phone for another epic but want to know WHAT is an EASY way to save all my apps so I can just have them install on the new phone? its SO annoying, even the PRE did this well lol. but anyhow like AppBrain is cool but its kind of pointless cause I was thinking it would just install them back for me but not the case

I'm not sure about taking that long to charge, but my epic definitely drains quickly. A single 10 minute call sometimes knocks the battery down 10% it seems. That said...I've never even considered switching it out. I mean a lot of people have battery problems, a lot of people don't, it's probably not the fault of the phone but rather how many and what apps you have installed and how you use it.

I don't feel like there's anything wrong with my phone, and I don't think there's any evidence that a new phone would improve anything. I mean I use my phone a lot, though I consider 25 texts, 2 calls, and 6 pictures to be pretty good usage. Things like voice calls use up battery more than many other things. I hear people say their "great" battery life is 8-10 hours. So at your rate you'd get 8. I don't know exactly what you're expecting, but for what you're describing that sounds very fair.

Plus installing all my apps again would be the biggest pain in the world. Any battery problems I have I blame on just how many apps I have installed...never know what they're doing :/

Definitely defective. I got 8 hours with beyond insane usage. It was ridiculous how much power I was making the phone use.
