Hello,
this might be a dumb question but i.ve been reading threads & threads so now i thought i should just ask for help!
my droid eris was rooted and flashed to cricket service at a shop almost a year ago. its running on 2.1.my internet just stopped working the other day when i took it off the charger,SU REQUEST with a black screen pops up &it is just to slow!oh yea and my mms does not work along with tether. im looking into putting a custom ROM. im specifically looking at GSB v2.2.
the question i have is if it is already rooted and flashed to cricket how do i go about changing roms? Do i need to root, change roms, then flash to cricket service?
i am currently downloading android SDK & HTC sync.

anyone!?

You do not need to re-root - once you are rooted, you are rooted.

I am a Verizon person, so not all that familiar with Cricket, but I understand that it is possible to run GSB when connected to Cricket. I'll see if I can dig up some info for you. Just a warning that the instructions may end up being long...

I'll post something later on if I find definitive instructions. (It may not be as bad as I am suggesting...)

If you can live without gingerbread there are some cricket specific roms on xda. I don't have cricket so I don't know how nice they are....

sent from my phone

kool thanks for that info gruss!! im going to check that out now.
hmm would u know if any rom can be put on the eris then flashed to cricket?? just so i know more specifically what to search for in a rom.
i.ve been trying to download xtRom 5.0 but it wont download all the way for some frustrating reason..so gave up on that one yesterday.
