My EVO wont load passed the HTC EVO 4G white screen

Hello everyone,

Im in great need of help. Today my phone suddenly shut down and when it tried rebooting, it wouldnt do anything after the white HTC Evo 4G screen. I thought it would be loading or updating something, so I left it. However, it took too long and I saw no progress.
I must conclude the worst possible thing for me, my Evo has somehow been bricked.

Please help. How do I recover my phone back to its kick *** stage.

P.S. My phone was rooted and I was running it on froyo 2.2.
