My fingerprint lock sensor stopped working

So, today I noticed my fingerprint isn't working. I tried turning the phone off and on again. When I turn it back on it works for less than 20 secs. It doesn't register wrong finger neither I can use it for looking pictures in gallery. Should I try doing a factory reset and has anyone had the same problem? Thanks for help.
