I'm a long time Samsung Galaxy user (Galaxy S6 Edge+ currently) and I am set to recieve my first Nexus device ever in the mail tomorrow. I'm pretty excited and can't wait to not have to deal with carrier bloat. I have a couple of questions. For the first time, I'm thinking about not using a glass screen protector and I'm wondering how all of you people who carry your nexus 6p naked have faired. Also, I didn't get Nexus Protect at checkout. Is it possible to add it when I get the phone?

No you can't retroactively add Nexus Protect, but you can return it and then buy it again. I use the microfiber case from the Play Store so can't comment on your other question. Enjoy!

If you're going case-less then the tempered glass screen protector is pretty much a nessesity.
Enjoy your new phone!

Interesting, Google would rather have an open box return & repurchased then to just adding nexus Protect. It seems like a waste of time. /rant LOL

Aluminum phones are way too fragile & slippery, compare to glass or plastic, I had no problems with the LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy S6/edge though I did (always) use a Screen Protector.

There is an obvious and completely reasonable logic behind what they are doing. You just have to have a little common sense. :)
