My friend has more theme options than me

My friend has a k10 just like me, yet in his home settings, he has an option to change his theme WITHOUT ANY 3RD PARTY APPS! Is this because my phone has a different service provider or what?! I checked for phone ui updates and there wasn't any

Welcome to Android Central! That's a distinct possibility. Certain carriers block or modify system options. AT&T is notorious for that.
