My Front Facing Camera is Blurry, comparing two galaxy nexus

My girlfriend just got a galaxy nexus, and the first thing i noticed is her front facing camera is insanely crisp compared to mine.

is this just because mine is a launch device? or is there a fix? it's like my front facing camera is out of focus, but clicking to focus doesn't do anything on the front facing camera.

along with that her battery last a billion years longer then mine. so there's that This seems to be due to android OS having a much higher CPU total. when hers is taking 8% for android OS, mines taking 30%. what would cause that?

she typically will get an hour more of screen on time compared to me. any tips as to why all this is would be appreciated

You may have already done this but just go be sure, carefully wipe the front of your screen including the area with the camera.
Smudges or streaks are usually to blame for bad picture quality from back and front cameras. Happens to me all the time until I wipe it clean.
