My G3 phone does not operate every now and then. Is it dead?

My G3 phone does not operate every now and then. It is dead.

Phone seems to operate normally but no sound or ringing. I turn it off and back on and seems to fix it (until next time)

Perhaps the battery is bad. Perhaps a Factory Reset would help.
It's difficult to diagnose faults remotely. It would be best to take it to a qualified repairer.
