My Galaxy Note 8 now automatically reduces photo size when I text. How do I stop?

My note takes amazing photos. Two days ago, it started to reduce in size the photos I text people so they are not as nice. How do I stop this? Someone said to use Facebook Messenger but not every one I know is on Facebook. Isn't there a texting app that will keep my photos original size for the recipient?? I have ATT and unlimited data. I was using Messages App.

When sending data (photos, videos) using an SMS/MMS app, your carrier gives you only a very small amount of data to attach to the message. ATT only gives you about 1 MB. This is too small for a full-res photo to be sent.

If your SMS app does not have the option to turn off the auto-downsizing of the images, you will need to pick a different SMS app.

However, since the photo needs to be downsized before it can be sent by SMS/MMS, you will need to use a photo editor to do the downsizing before you attach the photo to the message.

Alternatively, instead of SMS/MMS messaging, you can use one of the many third-party instant messaging services. They all allow larger data limits per message, but they also require the sender and receivers to be all using the same app/service.

Your choices are limited. Use the phone camera and share the link in your tm. Or, dL panda photo size compressor for a decent textable pic. Good luck
