galaxy s3 calculator inverse function produces faulty calculation

I purchased my galaxy s3 2 years ago. The s3 has a calculator built in to it's system (as far as I know it is built in).
When I try to use the calculator's inverse function key the result produced is incorrect.
For instance, If I wish to calculate the inverse of 8 I will type in "8", then press the "1/x" key.
The correct display after performing this calculation should be ".125". Instead of displaying ".125", the display reads "8X1/ " (with the forward slash being a division sign).
I have been irritated with this fault since i first tried to use the function about two years ago.
Nothing has changed since then.
It is hard to imaging samsung and google providing a calculator with faults.

Welcome to Android Central! The stock calculator would be from Samsung, not Google. Does this occur with 3rd party calculator apps as well? I use RealCalc.
