My Galaxy S6 Edge has a dark screen and I cannot get the screen back. How can I fix this?

my Galaxy S6 edge has a dark screen and I cannot get screen back

I took my phone from my pocket and the screen was dark. I clicked the tab to light screen and nothing happened, Phone is charged and was working all morning. Is the phone off and if so how do I turn it back on. I have held all of the tabs on the sides of the phone and screen is still dark.

Welcome to Android Central! Sometimes the battery can drain quickly and unexpectedly if an app malfunctions. Plug it into a wall outlet for at least 4-6 hours undisturbed, then try powering on again. You might have to hold the Power button down for at least 10 seconds.

Mine is doing the same thing. Was fine 30 minutes ago. Now totally dark. Did you get yours to work? Please let me know what you did to fix it. Thanks.

Press and Hold power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If it doesn't work, put it to charge a couple of hours and then try the same again.

Thank you! It came back on and now I have a battery that shows 94%. Not sure what happened, but I thank you so much!

This happened to me and the brightness had accidentally turned all the way down. Don't know how, but my husband was able to see it enough to turn it back on. His vision must be better than mine, because I could see nothing on the screen. It looked like it was completely off.
