My galaxy s6 edge keeps bleeping

My galaxy system edge keeps bleeping at me even when I'm not doing anything sometimes it's after I've been on the Internet or looking at emails and other times I might be looking at the note pad . How can I stop it as it's very annoying.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this a typical notification tone, or is it something different? Is your NFC turned on? If so, and if the phone is near something with an NFC chip (like a credit card stuck in a wallet case for the phone), the NFC notification might sound frequently.
