My gear 3 Samsung watch only works on the charger

How long have you been using this Gear S3?
Is this a sudden or gradual issue?
If it's been in service for years, the battery may need replacing.

Try changing the watchface through your phone app.

I had a similar issue, but had no display at all - charger or off, but clearly had power at all times.
