I was working out today and my Gear was at 35% and it just went dead. Wont turn on, wont charge, nothing. I didn't get it wet, not even from sweat. I've worn this thing in the shower months ago and no problems. Anyone have any suggestions? Kinda bummed because I use it everyday. Funny thing too, we just got an update recently.

Wait. You were wearing it while working out and it didn't get any sweat on it?? You need to workout harder, lol. Just kidding.

I'm guessing you've left it on the charger for more than just a couple minutes? Try this:

Press and hold the Power key until REBOOTING displays at the bottom of the screen.
Press the Power key repeatedly until the Select REBOOT MODE screen displays.
Press the Power key to highlight ' Recovery'.
Press and hold the Home key to select.
Keep holding the Power key until the Gear S3 begins rebooting.

Tried that and all the other combos I found online and in other forums. Something to note though, when I put it on the charger, the led on the charger blinks red after about a minute or so. p.s. this was early in the workout, haha.

I'm beginning to suspect my battery took a crap on me. The charger blinks red when I set the watch down on it and it wont do anything when I hold either button or both down.

Well you could replace it yourself and see if that solves the issue.

If the watch is under warranty, send it in. I had to send my classic in twice. First time for a screen going black issue. They ended up replacing the concertos parts that had some minor knicks for free too. I got it back and it had battery issues. They never did fully fix the screen issue, but it's not nearly as frequent and solved with a quick reboot. I've concluded this is probably a software issue as it started after the Tizen update last year and it also happens in my Frontier.

Update, I replaced the battery myself and still no luck. I did notice some corrosion on the inside of the back casing where water may have gotten in. Might just have to get a new watch. No, I don't have the original receipt. Bought it from Best Buy about a year ago, hopefully they have record. I opened the watch myself, does that void the warranty?
