My HTC Desire 816 (710c) dual sim will not update its OS still running version 1.13.652.1

my htc phone i have had for 2 years and it will not successfully do a system update, will download the update but when it tries to install it always fails,, i have been dealing with this issue daily since i got it, really like the phone but am wanting to update os, says isnt rooted

Has it ever been rooted? If it has, it won't update either, even if you removed root.

no i purchased it unlocked and unrooted
