My HTC One focus issue

I was previously having focus issues but after I turned on the "Touch to Capture" option most of my photos are in focus.

Will try that!
I tried to use camera FX with fixed focus but it was worse!
Looks like HTC is using a very special autofocus this time

I've noticed focus issues with mine when the lense is dirty with fingerprint smudges. It doesn't seem dirty if you look at the lense directly, if you tilt the phone then you will notice how dirty it is.
I wear glasses, so I have no problem carrying a small micro fiber cloth around.

Do we have a fix on the focus issue yet, I have installed all the updates but still have the problem on my T-Mobile HTC one camera not focusing

I have the AT&T htc one and when I try to focus on thing sometimes my camera starts to shake/vibrates and make weird noises

Is seems like the camera gets suck and I can feel my phone vibrate

Hi guys,

just to come in on this, I to am having the same issues... the thing is, I'm not sure if mine was working perfectly before the OTA update. Took the kids to the park this weekend, tap to focus is useless, it randomly picks a spot, usually in the top left somewhere and everything else is just a blurry, overexposed mess (much the same as everyone else's problems)

The phone is only about 6 / 8 weeks old and I am sick of it. My old iPhone 4 used to take cracking pictures of the kids and family playing and my HTC is just ruining it... Is it worth contacting HTC UK for a return - really wish I'd got the S4 now :*(

I've noticed the same problem - went to a basketball game the other day and tried to take a couple of photos. The result? blurry as hell. Couldnt get it to focus on the court. Noticed this for the first time and i'll need to make some more photos though to be sure about it.

My HTC One suffers from all of the above and it's really frustrating me. I had a Motorola Electrify thru US Cell that I had to give up due to US Cell withdrawing from the Chicago mkt. I've had my HTC One since June and the focus issues seemed to start AFTER I upgraded to 4.3. I just went on an Amtrak trip to DC and most of the pics were out of focus, particularly when used in low-light (where focus is much more critical). Distance seems to cause the biggest problem. I went to a Sprint store with my complaint, they "checked" it, and seemed to think it was fine, but I can show them all the bad shots, which I've stopped deleting.
