HTC one M9 quick charge always requires a reboot

Hi i just wondered if anyone else had the same problem,

i bought a quadcom quick charge 2.0 charger from amazon, pluged it into my HTC one M9 and there is no notification to wether it is charge quickly or not, so i downloaded one of the apps from the store which looks at the amount of current being supplied to the phone and it was the same as with the charger supplied with the phone. turned off all the apps and tried again and the same.

Getting confused i did a reboot of the phone while the power cable was plugged in and it then read 2Amp on the app and also charged my phone quicking from 5% to 35% in about 30 mins

Sence then i have been reseting my phone every time i want to charge it however this is starting to frustrate me anyone having the same issue? heard of the issue or know a way around it?

Are you within battery saving mode, when you plug in the adapter?
