My htc thunderbolt won't hold a charge. New battery. It's 4 1/2 years old. Do I need a new phone?

How long does it hold a charge? (If you didn't condition the new battery - 3 full charge/discharge cycles - it may take a while before it holds a normal charge.) If it's dying after an hour or so, it's probably a leaky capacitor on the motherboard, and it probably doesn't pay to fix a phone that old. It should still run off the charger, though, so it can still be used a for a few things.
