My iPhone 5 with iOS 8.3 doesn't see the Chromecast in the bluetooth listing

I'm wondering if the Chromecast is bad.

The Set Me Up screen is showing on my Samsung Series 8 8000 with the name Chromecast9245 showing in the lower left corner, but that name doesn't appear in my iPhone 5, iPad mini, or iPad bluetooth lists.

Welcome to Android Central!

The Chromecast is not going to show up in the Bluetooth. The Chromecast need to be connected to your home wifi. Then you need to install the Chromecast app from the iTunes Store. Once you do that the apps supported for Chromecast will have the chromecast icon.

Thank you....I feel like such an *****. For some unknown reason, I had bluetooth in my head and the word wi-fi didn't register. So after reading the above and realizing how blind I was, I got it to work.

Glad you got it to work. Is this your first Chromecast? If so, be sure to download the app from the Play Store (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...le.android.apps.chromecast.app&token=7VrQzQxH) and make your way to the offers section. There's a lot of good stuff in there, so don't miss out.
