I've had my V30+ for about 3 weeks now and this is my take.
First is form factor. For a 6" screen the phone feels very reasonable. Couple that with the 2/1 aspect ratio and i really enjoy the in hand feel. I admit i really love the feel of the phone without a case. The all glass feels amazing. Unfortunately its glass and being so its more fragile and super slippery. Whether the phone is in my pocket or in my hand is just fantastically slippery.
Battery. Battery life is subject to how you use your phone and my comparison is to how I've used my past phones. With that said my battery life is phenomenal. Whether its the optimization or the chip (or both) i get amazing battery life at 50% screen brightness

With over 20hrs on the battery i can easily get 7hrs screen on time I'd guess a lot more but i charge my phone at night so I haven't run the battery down to 0% yet.
Oled screen. Hard to say here. I've always liked Lcd screens and this is my first oled. First thing i noticed is i dont have nearly the eye fatigue i did with lcd. I can be on my phone, look up at the tv and my eyes dont really have to adjust like they did before. After a few weeks I'm really enjoying the dark blacks on the oled too. Also at lower screen brightness it doesn't look as washed out. So far I'd call it a win although I'm still concerned about possible burn in.
I bought the V30+ because I'm on Sprint so i got the included earbuds. They sound good but they dont really take full advantage of the HiFi DAC. When i plug in my Bose headphones the music really comes alive. Much better sound and its much louder while still sounding good.
Next big thing is the camera. For me the camera is good/not great as a point and shoot. If you're into tinkering the camera is amazing. There's so much you can do with so many setting combinations. Thats IF... The wide angle camera takes the cake for me though. I use the wide angle almost as much as the normal shooter. If I'm calling a duck a duck though, I was most impressed with the Pixel 2xl for great point and shoot pics.
I held out on buying because of the first wave issues. I do have a slight blue tint, much less than i saw on the display units and it really doesn't bother me.
Before buying I narrowed the field down to the V30, Pixel xl 2 and the Note 8. I think each phone has their advantages but the V30 won me over.
As a side note i did go with a minimal case which adds a lot of grip but little drop protection. It has the slightest raised lip so you can sit it on the face without scratching.

Anyway thats my take so far...
