My MetroPCS LG k20 is asking for a secure start -up password for my Gmail to get into my phone and I've tried everything. Can anyone help?

This is a security feature. It means someone factory reset the phone from the Android System Recovery Menu without signing out of their gmail account. This is to prevent stolen phones from being able to be used.
So if it's asking for YOUR password for YOUR gmail. Enter your gmail password.
This doesn't just happen on it's own.
