My LG Optimus G E975 is not detected by Windows laptop even after installing drivers

My LG Optimus G E975 is not detected by Windows laptop even after installing drivers from LG website. This is an older phone and earlier Windows used to detect the phone. When I connect it using data cable it charges the phone but Windows does not detect the phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but no change.What is the issue?

Phone is running Android 4.2.2
Kernel 3.4.0
Windows LG USB Driver - LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4.exe

I want Windows to detect the phone so that I can use it for debugging Android Application using Android Studio. Any help will be much appreciated.
