My LG V30 thing has a mixture of German and English US and I need to get rid of all the German.

I want English US on my phone not German there is no other way to put it.

Welcome to Android Central! Where are you seeing the German? In the system settings menus? Or in certain apps? Was the phone intended for the German market?
