Question My location

You can also use Google Maps. Open it, make sure it's locating you correctly (tap the crosshairs icon at the lower right if it isn't), and then long-press the screen where Maps is locating you. This will drop a pin and show you the coordinates on the top of the screen.
 
I won't give my real plus code but it's something like 123A+XYZ, Town, State

I assume it's a Google thing. I don't know where else it's used, but it seems to be mentioned a bit in Google Maps.

Oh, I recall seeing something like that before. But are you saying that if you long-press any random spot on Google Maps, you don't get map coordinates? Here's an example:
