Question My mobile is annoying me! The screen has a life on it's own.

HI.
I am new here. I have been having some problems with my RedmiA1 since last Sunday. When I press the power button, the screen stays black. I have to press it many times, sometimes even twenty. Then screen comes back and the phone is working normally. Sometimes when I manage to activate the screen, it comes bac to black after a second or so and I have to press power again. Or it goes black when I put my phone on any surface, right after I manage to activate the screen., like it's sensitive to the touch? What is really weird, it happens after I don't use my phone for longer time, let's say 20 minutes. Today I was boarding the bus, my bus pass was on the screen and then it went black. I removed back panel and it worked ok, I mean, the button was coempletely responsive after one touch, until it stopped working again. I restarted it a million times. What is wrong? Thanks for any advice....

No, it is not

it can be an issue whith the hardware, try rubb the power bottom, may be it has to be replaced, also try another trick, is to go to safe mode then delete unused apps

It doesn't want to switch into a safe mode. I removed the case and press that metal under the plastic case, still the same.

If removing the back panel of your device and started working great I would suspect something internally is loose or not making contact which would mean taking to a Repair shop to see what's going on .

Hi.
I tried to tput it in safe mode, instead it entered weird "boot" state, after several minutes i restarted it again. It worked ok for the rest of the day, on Friday I had problems again, it took like 50 attempts to lit the screen and then suddenly everything was ok......right for the time when a new mobile arrived. As of today (Sunday) no problems so far. And now I have two mobiles.

Is this a warranty replacement phone that arrived, or did you just buy another phone on your own?

That device with the issue is intermittent so you did the right thing getting another device.
