My music player (Note 4) crashes when I'm trying to play music... sd card bad?

I have a Note 4, and a Sandisc 16g SD card.... phone is 1yr old, sd card is brand new. I've tried to play music from just the sd card, crash, just the phone, crash and from both, crash. I usually get a song and a half before it crashes. Cache is clean.

Have you tried a different player?

I didn't know there was such a thing.... I just have been using the one on the phone...

I downloaded a new player...I'll see if this works.
