My MyTouch slide 3g has shut down :( Please HELP

My MyTouch slide 3g has shut down. the screen will not come on, and when I do a battery pull and put it back a yellow light (orange&green) comes on, it vibrates 5 times and still no screen. it even does it when I plug it in with no battery. What is wrong with my phone and how can it be fixed??

Did you ever update it to FroYo or have you left it at Eclair? Whatever the matter, I had the same phone for a few years, and nothing of that sort happened, so it sounds like the whole system crashed and that's the way the phone is telling you it needs to be serviced. I can look for an RUU for you, but if you've flashed that phone to AT&T, Sprint, or other, you'll lose that and have to go get it reflashed.
