I recieved the Navigation mount for my VGN today and so far it seems like an ok unit. My only complaints are:
1) It doesn't charge the phone.
2) It doen't automatically put the Nexus into car mode.
I also hate having wires hanging from the middle of my windsheild down to a power port to plug the phone charger in. So what I did was pick up a power port to 2X USB adapter at autozone, and a new power port.
Then I hardwired the power port to an ignition wire behind a dash panel in my Durango with a 10 amp inline fuse and used a 6 foot USB cable and ran it from under the dash up the "A" pillar on the drivers side.
This reached almost up to the headliner. From there I plugged in a micro USB and used electrical tape to hold it in place then ran that cable over to the middle of the windsheild where the cables come down to my mirror. I also used black wire ties to hold the micro USB cable.
From the other USB plug I ran a 6 foot section from the dash then under the center console to the back seats. There is also a micro USB cable in the pocket on the back of the front passengers seat so if anyone in the back needs to charge their phone or PSP etc in they can.
There is also a power port to USB in the cargo area incase someone in the 3rd row of seats needs to plug their device in as well.
I did something similar to this for my Sirius radio, those pics are located here in post #26 :
