My new dock...

My new dock... v2.0

So i was bored at work today and dipped into my Lego bin to make a little (well, not really LITTLE) dock for the EVO. I know it's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works, and was fun to make.

It was harder than it looks, since i wanted the phone to be centered (or as close as possible) and the off-center charging port didn't wanna play nice with that intention!

In case anyone wonders... the Legos are from an Indiana Jones fighter plane set, mostly.

EDIT: Spurred on by Nickinson chastising the paint job on my first version , and having been one upped by the Incredible dock with shrubbery and what not... I dipped into the Lego bin again today and came up with version 2.0 of the Lego EVO dock.

The "guts" and some of the top are from the first one, with the facade coming from a "Space Police" truck set I got on clearance at Target. I like this one a lot better than the "Frankendock" of version 1.

thanks... i've been doing all kinds of crazy ish with the legos lately. heh. this is my only really practical one.

the case is the seidio active limited edition from amazon. the also have a black, blue, purple, and green version (where mine is burgundy). looks like they're all sold out of all colors right now though. i've have it about a week and LOVE it!!

lol... no. i grabbed the indy set a couple of months ago, put that together as it was meant to be, and have been making my own stuff up ever since.

I love the Lego craddle!

But I opted for the Seidio from Android|Central.

I have one at home, work , and mounted in the car. They work great.

Man, I've been wanting to somehow construct a dock for my EVO as I don't like the Seidio one and the others won't fit my case. I've been trying to figure out what to build it with. LEGO, perfect! I know what I'm going to be doing when I get home.

EDIT: I'm going to build mine out of grey lego from Star War sets, and I think I'll put some nice grate looking plates on top to make it look slick
