My new Samsung Tab A not finding my google cloud printer...

Hi everyone:
I'm new here, and new to the Android world.
I experimented with a previous Android device (running Kitkat). It was very cool the way it found my google cloud printer (HP Officejet Pro 8610).

If I understand correctly, the google print app is now a part of Marshmallow.
I just picked up a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I *LOVE it. But the print thing is driving me crazy. I go into Settings ->More connection settings->Cloud print on.... but then I get a never-ending spinning circle that says "searching for printers."

What's up with this??
