15% phone idle. You've barely used the phone at all. Screen time is probably less then 20 minutes amirite?

Hehe so optimization of the lifestyle might be more appropriate

You are right, the Nexus 4 battery should be optimized based on our lifestyle, that's the way the smartphone serves people.

I've tried set the brightness at 20-30% level, the screen looks uncomfortable under some environment, either too bright or too dim. The Auto-B just works in most cases for me.

With Juicedefender on, 3h 38 min screen time. Apps running constantly in background, also captured 10 minutes of 1080p video.

check e-mail occasionally;
edit calendar couple of time;
take 2min video;
take 10 photos;
use androidcentral forum;
use other apps: calculator, airdroid, Google now, weather,...

what was the battery at before you started charging? so that's 39 hrs without charging? Can you give some more info on how you got this. like were you on wifi anything else that might matter?

The battery was at like 3%. Yeah its quite a long time but phone was idle for 12% of it. I used data for the first half of the day, and WiFi for the second half. I think juice defender helped a lot , also Google now off, auto brightness off, gps on the whole time.
