My Note4 is getting popup spyware

I am not having any luck, along with other people, getting any information about getting rid of game popups and now this:
androidcube.mobi/f777/en/2/initial.php
telling me to upgrade anti-virus immediately.
I expect Google to offer solutions to their operating system problems.
If android is becoming not secure then me and others will be going to apple.
I never had this problem on my Samsung S3.
As others have, I've run lookout and other anti-virus and spyware programs and the spyware is still there and/or the popup problem still exists.
Please post a solution here for everyone.
Thanks!

Re: My Note4 is getting popup spyware

Welcome to Android Central! It's not a Google problem. It's a problem with either the websites you visit or the apps you install. If the popups only occur while browsing, then it's a popup ad associated with that website that's trying to scare you into installing an app that is probably bogus. Don't visit those websites.

If the popups occur on the homescreen, then some app you installed carries adware (which is not spyware), which is technically not illegal (but is annoying). Uninstall apps one by one until the behavior goes away. Before installing apps, look through the reviews on Google Play Store to see if complaints of ads are common--avoid those apps.
